Glasgow North West Citizens Advice is an independent charity. While our core services are funded by Glasgow City Council, that is only part of what we do. We run a wide range of projects that address specific needs within the community, and we raise a lot of the funds for these ourselves.
The services the Bureau provides are extremely valuable: last year the Bureau helped nearly 4000 clients with over 17,000 cases, and saved our clients collectively over £4 million. The Bureau is very much at the heart of the community, with 10% of the people in Maryhill and Posilpark having used the Bureau in the last year, and 70% of our workforce being volunteers.
For this reason, we’re asking for your help. Please consider donating or raising funds for the Bureau next time you hold an event for charity in your community, workplace or school. Our downloadable fundraising pack gives you everything you need to get started.
We are registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator and are members of the Institute of Fundraising Scotland. Our fundraising activities comply fully with the Code of Fundraising Practice issued by the Fundraising Regulator.
